Frank Carrington

Frank Carrington

Frank Carrington was born on September 13, 1895 on Angel Island in San Francisco Bay. His father, Major Frank Carrington, served in the American West, Cuba and the Philippines, Frank Jr, his generation’s army brat. Our Frank was very private, left few records other than the results of his work. He lived with his mother and sister at the Papermill Playhouse. He didn’t smoke and didn’t drink. His life was about creativity. This picture shows a public persona to be that of a debonair bon vivant. There is much to be learned and understand and it will help us all understand ourselves and how we got here.
